Gambia Win African Junior Championship Once Again!!

Gambia have won the African Junior Championship for the second time after they beat hosts Algeria 3-1 in this year's final on Thursday.

Gambia first won the African Under-17 crown four years ago when they hosted the tournament.

And on Thursday, they repeated this feat inside a packed stadium in Dar El Beida.

A brace from top marksman Ebrima Bojang and single goal from Alasana Camara propelled the Gambians to victory.

Algerian striker Bendahmane Nadir scored for the hosts but it proved too little on the day.

The tournament was marred by the disqualification of Niger after it was discovered that they fielded an over-age player.

Africa will this be represented by Gambia, Algeria, Burlina Faso, Malawi and hosts Nigeria at the FIFA World Under-17 Championship in November.

Today 1st April 2009, my blog celebrates its 2nd anniversary.





It all started on a lazy Sunday morning on 01 April 2007....I had nothing to do(except final year project) and the idea of creating a blog came to my mind.



Another blog was just born : http://www.chirphaar.blogspot.com and i just posted the link to the other blog as my first post.

My blog remained like this itself as it was time for exams and presentation for final year project, until Hansika Motwani came on the Bollywood screen :)

Then the posts came, with different articles...jokes, poems, lyrics and very lately posts about football.


So time to party ..cheersss :)
